Friday Night Writers has a full set of events, with at least one per month. They always include an open mic session with a chance to submit your poetry (up to 40 lines) or short prose (maximum 1,000 words, with flash fiction and prose poetry of up to 500 words especially welcome). At each event there will also be a reading by a published prose writer or poet and a chance to meet other writers and publishers. You can ask somebody else to read for you and if we reach a cut-off point you can still leave your submission. If you have stage fright you can also submit without reading, so long as you come along.
